Has my child really finished all the levels?

There are five coding planets or courses with many levels in Kodable available to your child! To find these courses you will select Mission Control from Fuzztopia which opens the game selection screen.

The five courses with multiple levels are...

⭐️Cloudhaven: Sequencing

⭐️Smeeborg: Sequencing and Conditions

⭐️Aquatopia: Patterns and Repeats

⭐️Asteroid Belt: Introduction to Variables

⭐️ Moongarden: Functions and Pattern Decomposition

From here you can easily check your child's progress on your parent dashboard. A status bar allows you and your students to easily track their progress through the game. The four levels they will encounter are Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Mastery. In the example below, you can see Eva has completed the beginner levels and is currently working on intermediate.

Unlimited Access Opportunities

The learning opportunities continue in Fuzztopia! There are three areas that have unlimited access! This means students can play within these areas as much as they want. These areas are creation games that apply coding concepts your child has already learned through playing Kodable. The unlimited access areas are Maze Maker, Fuzz Builder, and Pets.

Maze Maker

In Maze Maker, kids can unleash their creativity by designing and decorating their own mazes. They can even publish them globally, allowing children from around the world to play and react to their mazes. While designing their levels, students apply essential coding concepts such as sequence, conditions, loops, and functions that they’ve learned throughout the game.

Rest assured, maze sharing is completely anonymous, and no personal information about the child is ever shared. For more details, check out our privacy policy.

Fuzz Builder

In this game, kids have the exciting opportunity to build their very own Fuzz using either JavaScript or Swift. They can customize and modify their Fuzz by adjusting properties like body color, eye color, mouth type, and accessories. As they progress through the game, additional properties like costumes and items will be unlocked, allowing for even more creative designs. Once they save their new Fuzz, it becomes available to use throughout other Kodable games.

Pets

Our Pets aren’t just adorable—they’re also a gateway to learning some amazing things! In Pets, children get hands-on experience by programming robots to help care for their pets. Want your dog, Spot, to be fed instantly? Program your CareBot to give him a cupcake every time he’s hungry. As children progress through Pets, they’ll unlock a variety of CareBots and get to design the Pet room of their dreams. If you are looking for even more information about Pets click here to view the Learning Guide or click here to read an in depth support article about this game!

Bug World: At Home Extension

Bug World is the newest product from Kodable that is included with Premium, Premium+, and parent PRO plans. Before playing, learners will need to download the app to play. Bug World is currently only available for play on IOS devices and not available on the web yet.

Bug World includes over 30 engaging levels where learners can practice advance functions and object oriented coding. Bug World is an amazing resource for teachers and parents looking for extended practice of advanced coding skills. Bug World can be played at school as an extension or at home for even more targeted practice.

Weekly Challenges

Advanced players can take on weekly challenges to apply their coding experience widely! When new challenges are available, tap the pulsing red dot on the rank badge, next to your child's name. You can see this week's challenges and your child's progress toward meeting them.

Vortex

Vortex unlocks your child’s potential with endless opportunities for advancement. Through skill-appropriate levels, they’ll stay engaged and motivated. It’s the perfect place for extra practice, ensuring continuous growth and confidence in their coding journey.

Beach Cleanup

This game features adorable creatures and lets students refine their coding skills as they clean up the beach. It’s a fun and engaging way to learn while making a positive impact!

Can my child write actual code, like JavaScript or Swift?

Kodable prepares your child for an easy transition from symbol-based code to writing their own code in JavaScript or Swift. When your child has battled all the Slimes in the Bug World game and learned Object-Oriented Programming languages in Kodable Basics ad Kodable Creator, we recommend skipping over block-coding apps and writing the real thing!

  • Codeacademy is an online interactive platform that offers free coding classes in 12 different programming languages

  • Head First Books are brain-friendly guides that teach everything from JavaScript language fundamentals to advanced topics, including objects and functions.
