What is Kodable Scope and Sequence?
The Scope and Sequence documents were designed to help you determine where to begin coding instruction with your students and how to access teaching materials related to each course.
Within each document you will find...
⭐️Courses: Suggested areas and planets to have students work through
⭐️Competencies: Key coding skills targeted within each course
⭐️Resources: Direct links to videos and teacher guides specific to each course
The Scope and Sequence documents are broken down into three main categories: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced coder. You will notice that they are not organized by specific grade levels but by difficulty noted by the flame icon. Simply put, the more flames the harder the concepts and skills will be!
Beginner Coder
For students who have never coded before or younger students we suggest starting with the beginner coder scope and sequence. These courses will teach students all the coding basics and foundational skills needed for future courses.
Intermediate Coder
For students who have prior knowledge or experience with basic coding principals we suggest starting with the intermediate coder scope and sequence. These courses will review basic coding skills and expose students to more complex coding learning experiences.
Advanced Coder
For students who have in depth coding knowledge we suggest starting with the advanced coder scope and sequence. These courses will challenge students by exposing them more complex coding skills while also reviewing key foundational skills.
